We recently had the exterior of our house painted by Target Painting, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Alex and Hector did an outstanding job and were extremely careful, skilled, and attentive to detail throughout the project… The quality of the preparation and painting was excellent, and the finished house looks terrific.
Target Painting worked really hard to restore and paint my home. The home needed a lot of carpentry work on the south side. Target replaced/repaired all of the trim that needed attention. Then they cleaned the gutters, power-washed, caulked and prepped all surfaces for painting. The job was done correctly and not rushed. I will have Target back for several other projects I have coming up.
I have used Target painting now for both interior and exterior painting. The exterior was just finished and they did an excellent job. Big shout out to Joe and Matheus for getting my house painted to perfection. I highly recommend this company.

The uncomfortable part
Criticism, published, with what we did about it
We could have left these off. Every other painting website does. But a page of nothing but praise tells you nothing, and these four reviews are the reason several of the promises on this site exist at all.
Extremely disappointed… Poor and late communication, constant follow up needed. Over 2 months to complete what should have taken 1-2 weeks… Unless they rework their project management workflow and customer service, you’ll be very disappointed.

What we did
This one hurt, and it was fair. A job that should have taken two weeks ran into a carpentry discovery, a weather delay and a crew reassignment, and nobody owned telling the customer. It is the direct reason every job now has one named project manager, a written schedule you get on day one, and a standing rule that we call you before you have to call us.
All the workers only speak Portuguese, so it’s important for the project manager to be present as jobs are starting to ensure that the homeowner can communicate with the team as needed.

What we did
Accurate, and a genuinely useful piece of feedback. Most of our painters are Brazilian and Portuguese is their first language — these are career tradespeople and we are not going to apologise for that. What we changed is the process: an English-speaking project manager is on site at the start of every job, checks in daily, and gives you a direct number. If you would rather speak Portuguese, we can do that too.
I had a VERY simple fence painting project and Target Painting killed half my flowers during powerwash!!!

What we did
We offered to make it right at the time. The wider fix was a written property-protection protocol that is now part of every crew’s job packet: pre-wet and cover plantings, breathable drop cloths over beds, nothing stored on lawns, and an end-of-day rinse. It is in our contract, not just on a website.
In the 38 years I have owned my house I have never had paint pealing off the exterior until now with the paint job by Target Painting and Contracting. Not good.

What we did
Peeling within the warranty period is exactly what our 3-year written warranty exists for. Any customer in this position should call the office and we will come out, diagnose the cause and re-coat the affected area at no charge. We would rather eat the cost of a callback than have this review stand unanswered.
